I was introduced to vision boards through a few sources but I learned the most through a manifest course that I did with Sarah Prout.

Since then I have used vision boards to manifest many things. Included in those things are my house and my beautiful daughter (two things that I have wanted for years).

During the manifest course (which you should totally check out) I sat down and created my vision board. It included several things such as sayings and affirmations, images of things I want in my life that invoked certain feelings.

To help cement my visions and intentions I create an image of my vision board. It then became my screen saver on my phone and desktop image on my two Macs. Anywhere I could have the vision board I put it, which helped reinforce my desires.

I put two images that were the most important to me they were the house and a photo of a baby girl. Within months my husband and I purchased our dream house and then 6 months later I found out I was pregnant with a baby girl (who is now 6 months old and the most delightful being I have ever seen).

I now use vision boards to set my goals in my business.

So why would you use a vision board for your business plans and goals?

Why do you need a vision board?

Visions and goals are extremely important in any business. To achieve our goals it is important to know where you are wanting to head.

Vision boards are a powerful tool. They help us to create a deep connection with our deepest desires and goals. Visualisation is a powerful way to help you to focus on what you want.

When you visualise what you want you are sending out vibrations into the universe.

Your vision board should include things like how you want to feel, your goals and dreams.

What you will need

Good old visual board

  1. A pin board
  2. Magazines
  3. Scissors
  4. Glue

Online Vision Board

  1. Pinterest
  2. Or if you prefer something like PowerPoint to place your images on
  3. Your imagination

Set the mood

It is important to find a process that works for you.

  1. Set the intent and mood. I usually jump on Spotify and play some relaxing music.
  2. Turn off all distractions you want to be completely present (this includes your phone)
  3. Grab a glass of wine and maybe a cheese platter (if that is your thing)

Now you can get to work with thinking about what you want.

Think deeply about how you want your life to be in the future. Try and imagine yourself where you want to be and how that will feel.

What to put on your vision board

Anything that inspires you

  1. Affirmations that keep you focused
  2. Things you want in your life (ie. a house, car etc)
  3. Income related goals
  4. Places you want to visit (ie. holidays)

The idea behind the board is anything you put on it comes to life.

There is no right or wrong way to do the board. You can leave white space, you can overlap things as you please. Just let your creative mind take over.
